Building a sustainable farming system and authentic line of products.
After practicing conventional farming for long years, we decided to transition into Organic Farming with the guidance and supervision of experienced farmers, subject matter specialists, and researchers at agricultural universities. We actively followed all the norms of Organic farming and converted our 35 acres of land into fully Organic in 2018, acquiring certification from Madhya Pradesh State Organic Certification Agency (MPSOCA) under APEDA.
ABOUT KUSHAL MANGAL ORGANIC FARM
Farming has been our family occupation since 1985. Our ancestors used to practice natural and sustainable farming which was known to produce a quality harvest. With time and its advancements, we turned to conventional framing using chemicals to preserve crops against pest/weeds/insects and fertilizers to enhance soil fertility.
We were aware of the concept of Organic farming and initiated our research over the same with the help of experienced farmers, KVK scientists, researchers/professors at Agricultural Universities across the nation. Under the transition process that began in 2011, we affiliated ourselves with Madhya Pradesh Organic Certification Agency (MPSOCA) and followed their norms and conditions while being subjected to continuous evaluation throughout the process. In 2018, Kushal Mangal Organic Farm was fully certified as Organic.
We produce products ranging from value-added sugarcane (jaggery, powdered sugar, liquid jaggery), pulses (moong, arhar, tuar, urad, masoor), ancient varieties of wheat, and shuddh ghee from indigenous cows which are demanded by consumers all across the nation. We are aspiring to make ourselves a household brand name in near future.
